What: Guy Fawkes is celebrated by setting off fireworks
Why: He attempted to kill the king because he wanted a catholic monarch to rule
Where: They found Fawkes in a cellar about to light the gunpowder

This week we practiced gaelic football and hurling.

this is at the Auckland museum this is the volcano room were we watched a video and and the room shook. We went to the museum to learn about volcano eruptions and earth quakes are you prepared.
this is my peers and I dressing up like scientists and learning about earthquakes and volcanoes.

Today (25/08/15) we learnt about photosynthesis this is a photo of what we did. The green plant inside the tube is oxygen weed which is put in fish tanks. So we filled the tubes with water and put the oxygen weed in and we put it either in the dark or in sunlight and one of my friends left hers in the control area were there is sunlight but it is quite dark and my group put ours in the light and the result was it started forming bubbles this because of the oxygen from the plant.

This week we learnt about fractions, and our WALT was convert improper into mixed fractions the picture is an example of what we did.

I wrote this poem with Mrs Jamieson and I think i used a lot of gems to enhance my poem. I'm sure this is the best poem I have written this year.

This week we are working on explanation writing the explanation is about how seeds germinate. term 3!!!!!!!
Week 11
Here is Hamish and I playing squash and Hamish won. He won because he is better and he plays squash but I'm a beginner and I learnt how to play I enjoyed it and wanted to play it.
Week 10
Today is matariki, matariki is a time to celebrate for nz. When matariki comes there is a cluster of stars that appear in the sky there are seven stars. There is a story behind this and its very interesting. We did a little show on the bank and I talked to the school about matariki, there also was a kite competition there were 2 categories and people that won got a prize, but I didn't enter.

This is my groups finished pallet, except instead of the chevron design we painted that black, because we thought it looked weird and just made the pallet to overflowing. And the blue, green and orange represent our school colours.

This week my class went to botanical gardens and this picture is showing us the plants we are planting these plants are called succulents.
Week 8
This week the whole jump jam group went to this workshop in the morning and learnt a routine to show the school. And in this picture my group is standing with the creator of jump jam his name is Brett Fairweather

This is me sanding down the pallets for our pallet gardens if we didn't sand our pallets it would be rough and people who touched it may get splinters.
Week 6
This week Mr Vartha has been teaching us more about graphs and everyone in the class had to make a survey and my ones were about what sports you play and what sports games have you watched.
Week 5
This week we did art and we were inspired by James Rizzi this is what my group drew.Firstly, we sketched the art. Secondly we crayoned over the sketched lines. Thirdly we dyed them and this is how my groups turned out.
Week 4
Today its pink shirt day we all wore pink for the boy who got bullied for wearing pink.We learnt that if you get bullied tell someone or use your WITS which mean W walk away I ignore them T tell someone you trust S are you safe if you feel uncomfortable or scared again tell someone.
Week 3 This week its road safety week. Road safety week starts on the May the 4th (force) be with you(national star dance wars day is May the 4th ) and ends on the 8th of May. Road safety week means you have to come to school in a travelwise way. Coming to school in a travelwise way means coming to school by biking, walking, scooting, car pooling, public transport and drop and walk (at least 800m).

"Uuggghh!" I cried Angrily I yanked my headphones of my ears and turned the music off. "How did this happen" my mumbly mouth murmured . My eyebrows lowered like anchors on a ship. I had just walked into a pigsty. It was huge blanket of mess
Week 1 Sweet shell Happily the curved butter cream shell dawdled towards the shimmering sea Do you miss the warm golden sand in-between your tiny toes? The sand kept you warm on a windy night. Now you float gradually across the crystalline sea.
